Legend of Grimrock : It's not even out yet and it's already great!

The reviews are starting to pour in for Legend of Grimrock and so far it's looking good for the break out title created by Finnish game studio Almost Human.

If you haven't heard of LOG it's popularized as an Old-school RPG dungeon crawler modeled after titles like Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder. This genres last big release is arguably Wizardry 8 published in 2001 so you can imagine fans of this type of game are ecstatic at seeing a new title being released at all let alone one of this caliber.

I've already pre-ordered my copy at a piddly $11.99. Your best place to purchase the game is directly from the site, but you can also order from gog.com. Ordering directly from the developer will net you a steam key as well. Convenient! It comes with some very neat items including map paper for mapping out your adventure(trust me you'll need to do some mapping.), music and wallpapers.

Almost Human has also received quite a bit of media attention for being responsive to disabled gamers requests. I've talked to several people who've pre-ordered for nothing more than to support such an inclusive developer. You can read more about that over here at Kotaku.

Legends of Grimrock is due out on April 11, 2012 with a low retail price of $14.99. Check out the trailer below.
